The Best Part of Me

The best part of me is my ear because I can understand what is going on around me without having to turn around. My ears are special because I can learn through hearing the explanations if I don't understand. The special thing that my ears can do is that I can wiggle them.

Guiding Questions

Which ways can I learn things from this project that could help me in the future?

How will I use this project to learn how to use a tripod and a self timer?

What is my favorite part of my body?

Relation to the Areas of Interaction

This project is related to Approaches to Learning because we will need to learn how to use some materials like a camera and learn useful description skills.

It is related to Homo Faber because I need to use a camera to take pictures and then have to edit them on a computer using Programs like picassa or Photoshop.

The project is related to Health and social education because we will need to study and to learn about every aspect of my favorite part of my body.

Relevance of the Problem

The usefulness or importance of the problem is that we will learn how to use a tripod for taking a self-portrait. During which we will need to learn the ways of being able to take the self-photograph by using a self-timer. After taking the picture we will have to better or improve our describing abilities for the writing part of our project. This way we will know more about our uniqueness and be grateful for the problem.

The Problem

How can I express the best part of me through photography and writing? We will need to have a camera for taking our picture and then write about it. The main aspect of the problem is that we need to do this because we will take this to our advantage in the future by what we learned.

Second Unit of Work

For this project we are expected to choose the part of our body that we like the most. Later we have to right a one hundred to two hundred word essay about that part of our body. Afterwards I take a picture of the best part of my body and formate it as a portrait or a landscape frame. Then our project is evaluated step by step using the MYP rubric.
